Emirates Eyes A380 Services in Hyderabad as Airline Marks 25 Years of Operations

The Vice President (India) of Emirates, Mohammed Sarthan, paid a courtesy call on Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in Jubilee Hills to commemorate the airline’s 25 years of operations.

During the meeting, the Emirates executive expressed the airline’s interest in introducing Airbus A380 services to Hyderabad, a move that could significantly enhance international connectivity between Telangana and global destinations.Chief Minister Revanth Reddy welcomed the proposal and requested Emirates to increase the frequency of its flight services from Hyderabad to meet the growing demand for international travel and strengthen the state’s global connectivity.

The Chief Minister also highlighted Telangana’s expanding aviation infrastructure, noting that two new airports are being developed in the state. He invited Emirates to consider extending its Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations to these upcoming aviation hubs, assuring the airline that the state government would provide all necessary support and infrastructure for flight operations and related investments.

In addition to aviation-related discussions, the Chief Minister appealed to Emirates to partner with the state in promoting sports by sponsoring athlete training programmes at the Gachibowli Sports University. The proposal received a positive response from the Emirates Vice President, who expressed willingness to explore opportunities for collaboration.The meeting underscored the Telangana government’s efforts to strengthen international aviation links, attract investment in the aviation sector, and encourage corporate participation in sports development across the state.
