Minister urges German industrialists to invest in Telangana
High-level German delegation discusses investment, technology and industrial collaboration

HYDERABAD, JULY 10 (THE JOURNALIST POST): Telangana is the most conducive state in the country for establishing manufacturing industries, Minister for Information Technology and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu said on Friday, urging German industrialists to explore investment opportunities in the State.
The Minister made the remarks during a meeting with a high-level German delegation led by Tobias Gotthardt, Vice Minister of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, at the Dr. B.R. Telangana State Secretariat.
Sridhar Babu said the State Government is implementing a strategic plan to transform Telangana into a world-class manufacturing hub through investor-friendly industrial policies, robust infrastructure and a highly skilled workforce.
During the meeting, both sides discussed avenues to further strengthen bilateral relations between Telangana and Germany. The Minister outlined the State Government’s initiatives to accelerate industrial growth and highlighted the incentives being offered to industries.
He said Telangana presents significant investment opportunities across multiple sectors, including Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Aerospace, Defence, Advanced Manufacturing, Precision Engineering, Digital Engineering, Semiconductors, Automotive and Mobility, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Health, Research and Innovation, Clean Energy, Global Capability Centres (GCCs), and Industry 4.0.
The Minister noted that the State is systematically building a comprehensive ecosystem centred on advanced technology, research, innovation and skill development to address future industrial requirements and enhance global competitiveness.
Emphasising the importance of international cooperation, Sridhar Babu said the Telangana Government is prepared to expand the Telangana-Germany partnership beyond investments to include collaboration in technology, research, innovation and workforce development.
The meeting was attended by German Consul General Michael Hasper, Germany’s Honorary Consul in Hyderabad Amita Desai, Executive Director of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs Ulrike Hoffmann, Executive Director of the Bavaria India Office John Kottayil and other officials.
