District Election Officer R.V. Karnan directs officials to expedite Enumeration Form digitization, deletion of deceased voters, and public participation in Special Intensive Revision

District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan, IAS, on Friday inspected Polling Station No. 32 at Hamal Basti in Chilakalaguda under the Secunderabad Assembly Constituency to review the progress of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls.

During the inspection, the District Election Officer directed Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to digitize at least 100 Enumeration Forms every day to ensure timely completion of the revision process. He also instructed Booth Level Supervisors to monitor field operations closely and ensure the collection of 1,000 Enumeration Forms on a daily basis.

Karnan emphasized the importance of maintaining accurate electoral rolls and instructed officials to collect the necessary death certificates for removing the names of deceased voters from the voter list in accordance with Election Commission guidelines.

He appealed to Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to extend full cooperation to Booth Level Officers and actively coordinate in the collection of Enumeration Forms to facilitate a smooth and transparent revision process.

The District Election Officer also urged all eligible voters in the Secunderabad Assembly Constituency to cooperate with election officials by filling and submitting their Enumeration Forms at the earliest, enabling the successful completion of the Special Intensive Revision.

Officials who accompanied the District Election Officer during the inspection included Zonal Commissioner K.A. Mangathayaru, Electoral Registration Officer and Deputy Commissioner (Mettuguda) M.N.R. Jyothi, Assistant Electoral Registration Officer N. Sai Baba, and Election Superintendent M. Narsing Rao.
