CM Revanth Reddy Orders Strict Action Against Agencies Delaying Salaries of Contract and Outsourcing Employees

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday announced the constitution of an Official Committee to strengthen digital governance across the State. The committee has been tasked with submitting its recommendations within 100 days.

Chairing a high-level review meeting on issues concerning contract and outsourcing employees, the Chief Minister also directed officials to initiate strict action against agencies that fail to disburse salaries on time, even after the government has released the required funds.

Committee to Frame Digital Governance Roadmap

During the review meeting, Revanth Reddy instructed officials to prepare a comprehensive roadmap for implementing digital governance and draft the necessary legislation to support the initiative.He said the State Government aims to modernize administration through complete digitization, ensuring efficient governance, greater transparency and faster delivery of public services.”The objective of digital governance is to provide better public services and ensure that welfare schemes reach beneficiaries directly and efficiently,” the Chief Minister said.

Digitisation of Employee Records

The Chief Minister reviewed the status of digitisation of records relating to contract and outsourcing employees alongside those of regular government employees.He directed officials to digitise the complete database of contract and outsourcing personnel across all government departments, including:

  • Employee details
  • Salary information
  • Bank account particulars
  • Department-wise records

The Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure that salaries are credited on the first day of every month through a streamlined digital monitoring system.

Action Against Defaulting Agencies

Expressing concern over delays in salary payments, Revanth Reddy said agencies entrusted with managing contract and outsourcing employees would face strict action if they failed to release salaries despite receiving government funds.He instructed the concerned departments to closely monitor salary disbursements and ensure accountability among outsourcing agencies.The Chief Minister reiterated that strengthening digital governance would improve administrative efficiency, enhance transparency and ensure timely delivery of government services and employee benefits across Telangana.
